get to know the

kingdom of god

An exciting journey awaits, as you begin your life as a Kingdom citizen. Surround yourself with a community of fellow believers, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you through the power of His holy word, the Bible.

This Kingdom of God has a long history of welcoming
migrants from every nation and every language as they find truth, hope, and eternal life. Your new identity as a Christian takes priority over all other aspects of who you
are.

Transforming into His character

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God
, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people, turn away! ...men of corrupt
minds, disapproved concerning the faith.

2 Timothy 3: 2–5, 8 (NKJV)

This week

We explore four core elements of
the Kingdom with which all Christians can find
commonality: the trinity of our King, our Word,
and the history and culture of the Kingdom.
Our culture is quite unique in its values,
celebrations, language, and music.

our King

A divine trinity of God the Father, God the
Holy Spirit, and God the Son.

  • God the Father is noted throughout
the Old Testament of the Holy Bible.

  • God the Holy Spirit, dwells in us,
guiding our human spirits into all truth.

  • God the Son, Jesus the Christ, was
born as a human to a virgin, as
recorded in the first few books of the
    New Testament and authentic
historical records of His birth, life,
    death, and resurrection.

Our history

The history of the Kingdom of God is
explored in the power of His Word in
the scriptures with the word
'beginning'. From creation (the book
of Genesis) to the end of this earth
(the book of Revelation), His Word
not only details our past relationship
with our King but describes our
present and future.

Our word

A collection of books inspired and
directed by God, written and recorded
by chosen men to detail our past,
present, and future. Each book of the
Holy Bible has chapters and verses that,
as a Kingdom citizen is our constitution
and life manual commonly noted in
shortened forms like "2 Tim 3:5" which
means: Open the Bible to the book of
second Timothy, turn to chapter three,
and scroll down to verse number five.

Our culture

Our Kingdom culture simply seeks to
glorify God in all that we do, say and
are. Every aspect of our lives should
represent the Kingdom’s values and
intentionally seek to honor Him.

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this
world, but let God transform you into a new
person by changing the way you think. Then
you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good an pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:2

Language

Our King is love and speaks
love through His Word, the
Holy Bible; in turn, we
communicate with Him in
prayer.

Dictionaries are filled with
definitions of love, and
theorists continue to
attempt to define love, but
Ephesians identifies love as
our language in this
kingdom, and our choice
of words becomes very
important in
communicating with each
other, God's way.

Ephesians 4:15 NLT Instead, we will
speak the truth in love, growing in
every way more and more like Christ.

Proverbs 18:21 MSG Words kill, words
give life; they’re either poison or fruit—
you choose.

celebrations

In natural immigration, countries choose to celebrate various events that are iconic in the formation of the nation.

Although all our days are a blessing from God, we chose to pause, remember, and celebrate these miraculous landmark events in Kingdom history on earth:

•The virgin birth of Jesus.

• Holy Communion

• The crucifixion of Jesus Christ on a cross.

• The resurrection and ascension of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

MUsic

Our music that glorifies God is available in every genre and every language as an outward expression of our heart towards Him. It expresses praise with words that testify to others about God, while words of worship are a direct and intimate conversation with God about all He is and means to you. Praise and worship are, in fact, the foundation on which we live our lives, not just through words in music but by aligning our thoughts and lifestyle in honor to God.
